Fixed Income
LKCM’s Fixed Income investment strategy seeks to generate attractive yields while maintaining lower levels of interest rate risk, credit risk, reinvestment risk, and portfolio volatility. Portfolios are typically constructed to have an average duration in the short to intermediate range, and fixed income investments are typically laddered in the portfolio to avoid concentration in any one year. Fixed income portfolios are generally comprised of investments in high quality U.S. Treasury, agency and corporate debt securities. LKCM’s fixed income investment strategy focuses on undervalued callable and non-callable fixed income securities, which provide the foundation for maximizing portfolio returns and minimizing credit risk. Maturity selection is a function of our macroeconomic analysis, which is primarily qualitative in nature.
