History and Ownership
Luther King Capital Management is an SEC registered investment advisory firm founded by J. Luther King, Jr. in 1979 with an initial client located in Fort Worth, Texas. LKCM provides investment advisory services to high net worth individuals, foundations, endowments, investment companies, pension and profit sharing plans, trusts and estates, and other organizations.
LKCM has seven shareholders, all of whom are employed by the firm. LKCM also has fifty-six employees, including thirty investment professionals with many educational and professional designations, including CFA (21), MBA (18), and CPA (6). At June 30, 2010, LKCM had approximately $6.7 billion in assets under management.
